NOMAD COLLECTION
THIS PROJECT WAS INSPIRED BY THE CLOTHING NEEDS OF THE SEMI NOMADIC LIFESTYLES OF BIKERS AND COWBOYS. THE AIM WAS TO GENERATE A VERY LIMITED SELECTION OF ‘HALFWAY GARMENTS’ THAT COULD BE WORN TOGETHER TO CREATE A WIDE RANGE OUTFITS. THESE HALFWAY GARMENTS WERE NOT DESIGNED TO BE STATIC INDIVIDUAL PIECES BUT TO MOVE IN BETWEEN A FEW VARIATIONS BOTH WITHIN THEMSELVES AND THROUGH THE ALMOST PATCH-WORK LIKE LAYERING WITH EACH OTHER THAT WAS BUILT INTO THEIR DESIGN.
THE COLLECTION AIMS NOT TO CONTAIN ONE SHIRT FOR EXAMPLE BUT ONE PART OF 3 SHIRTS, A BAG AND TWO COATS. BELOW ARE A SELECTION OF POTENTIAL COMBINATIONS OF THE HALFWAY GARMENTS DEVELOPED. WHILE THESE GARMENTS ARE NOT STRICTLY FUNCTIONAL FOR THE TOUGH OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENTS THAT INSPIRED THEM, THEY DO PLAY WITH THE IDEAS OF LIMITATION AND VERSATILITY THAT SUCH HARD ENVIRONMENTS REQUIRE.
